Vampire Glow-Removal Mod Updated - Now With Flavors!

Thanks to Mura and Valpre, I updated the Dead People Don't Glow with two new flavors. You can now remove the vampire glow from eyes and skin separately.

I'm pretty glad now. My favorite combination is regular eyes with glowy skin.

If you want to play with the different overlay options by yourself, it is easily doable with NRaas Debug Enabled:

1. Download NRaas DebugEnabler
2. In game, click on the sim and select NRaas -> Debug Enabler -> Options:Sim -> Visual Override
3. Pick the override you want

Pose Player Add-On Update

While I was checking the patch compliance, I finished a new feature for the add-on. So please go and download the Pose Player Interaction Add-on V3.

I fixed the Look At interaction so that you can select to look at objects too. Mura, thanks for letting me know that it was not working!

Here is some information about the new Facial Expressions interaction.


Change Facial Expression

You can now change the facial expression of a posing sim. Opens a new dialog where you can choose one of the EA facial expressions. I admit, most of them look funny. There is a minor bug too - sometimes the posing sims stop posing instead of changing the expression.

Similar to Look At, resets the pose so you cannot use Look At and Facial Expressions at the same time. Like with Look At, selecting same expression/target several times may get you different results :)

The Patch 1.42 Update

All my mods are compatible with the patch 1.42. This includes all the mods in Virtual Artisan X.

Again, none of my mods needed updating.

I also changed my system a bit since I grew tired of updating the packages and links in every post even though the mod needed no update. So, I added the current patch to the right. 

Again, no matter what the downloaded package name says, the blog post link describes the correct patch levels. 

All My Mods Work With The Patch 1.38

I just checked them and they are all compatible with the new(ish) patch 1.38. This includes all the mods in Virtual Artisan X too.

I did finally fix the True Blood so that humans no longer order it in bars, so you might want to redownload it.

All the other mods have not changed. Again, I only changed the link names. So trust the patch information in download link, not in the package name.

Finally online again! Thanks for the comments. I've read them all and I really appreciate you commenting. And no, I have no forgotten the fixes to my old mods, I'm just slow implementing them!

I'm traveling and I have no way to test and update my mods now. It will still be couple of weeks until I get home and have time for that.

I did check the list of features for the new patch and I did not find anything there affecting my mods. Also, Pose Player has not needed any update, so I assume the Add-On is probably fine with the new patch too.  But, as said, I cannot check out the compatibility myself right now.

New Sister Site - Virtual Artisan X

While my blog content is a bit gloomy sometimes, I've never meant this to blog to contain adult-only content. And I don't consider the things I've published to be such.

However, I recently got a notice from Google that some of the content here was not considered suitable for minors. While what is considered inappropriate definitely depends on one's culture, I do understand their stand.

I don't want to upset kiddies. But I also don't want to just put on the adult content tag, since I know lots of kids come here to get my ladder and other kid-compatible downloads.

So I created a sister site for the "adult" content, Virtual Artisan X.

Underground Entrances

Here are two entrance hatches you can place over my Stackable Industrial Ladder.

This mod let's your sims earn money by having a home bar business. After you place a professional bar to your home lot you will get Tend The Bar interaction for working as a bartender.

All My Mods Are Compatible With Patch 1.36

I've checked my mods against the new 1.36 patch. Even though they all compiled fine, I got warnings from two of them so I fixed and recompiled those just to make sure. I think you probably will not get any major problems even if you will not update them, but I just wanted to make sure they are all up to date with the new patch.

When you update to patch 1.36, please re-download these mods:

All the other mods are fine and you don't need to re-download them.

I did update the links to the other mods, but this time I was too lazy to update the packages themselves. So the link will say e.g. patches 1.33-1.36 and the downloaded zip says just patches 1.33-1.34. That just means that the mod did not need any update for 1.36 and will work fine.

Aion-Themed Tattoo Conversions, Set I

These tattoos first appeared in Aion. Lesatho converted these for DragonAge, MissAnne found them and wanted them for Sims 3 and so I converted them. I have not played Aion so I have no idea what the tattoos in the game look like and I used Lesathos images with her permission.

Leave The Door Open

This Sims 3 mod will let your sims leave doors permanently open. Well, until they close them again.

I saw a request for open doors in LivingSims Forum and I though this would be a fun mod to make. MacTheCat, thanks for the awesome magazine!

I have several doors in my home that I never close, and now the sims have that option too.

Stubble Is Back (For Testing)

Hi, I just wanted to stop by and say something so that you don't think that I'm dead or anything.

I have been working on Stubble, The Sims 3 String Bundle Editor. The test version is now available in the Simlogical. As this is Tiger's old tool the test version is not really a beta type test version, but should work fine. However I want to make the string collector automatic again and make the key file management easier so I decided to call it a test version for that.

It will probably take me at least couple of weeks more to finish it.

Pose Player Add-on Updated

Pose Player Add-on is updated to be compatible with new version of Cmomoney's Pose Player that was published today.

Now you can have poses for animals. I also added the missing Pose By Name... interaction.

So go and download the Pose Player Add-on V1 and don't forget to also download new Pose Player from MTS.

There are not many animal poses available yet, but you can start by downloading Born Free Pose Pack for Horses by Cmomoney and Kitty Pose Pack by Orangemittens.

Dead People Don't Glow

This mod removes the skin overlay from all vampires in game so that they will have regular looking skin and their eyes no longer glow. It does not affect thumbnails or CAS.
